The fabric
Cool to the touch, nothing to plug in
The mat is made from a fabric the supplier calls “ice silk”: nylon and cotton, with a breathable knit, and not a single thread of silk. No gel, no water, no electricity, nothing to put in the fridge.
It doesn't produce cold: it simply offers a surface that's cool to the touch, where your cat likes to stretch out.

Why a gel-free mat
Nothing to recharge
No gel, no water, no electricity, no time in the fridge: it's ready as soon as you unfold it, and nothing can leak if they sink their claws in.
Where they already sleep
On the floor, in their bed, on a window seat or a sofa cushion: the mat goes to their favourite spot, not the other way round.
Four sizes, in centimetres
From S, 50 × 40 cm, to XL, 100 × 70 cm. The small sizes really are small: choose by the measurements, not the letter.
Folded in a bag
Soft and quilted, it arrives folded in a clear bag, and folds back up the same way once summer is over.
The moment
When they sprawl across the tiles
On hot days, they abandon their bed and stretch out full length on the tiles or the wooden floor: they're looking for somewhere cool.
The mat gives them a surface that's cool to the touch where they like to sleep, without you having to plug in, fill or freeze anything.
The sizes
From S to XL, in centimetres
S 50 × 40 cm, M 60 × 50 cm, L 70 × 55 cm, XL 100 × 70 cm. A cat who's too hot stretches out full length: measure yours lying down, and choose the mat that's bigger than them.

Which size should I choose?
Four sizes, and one simple rule: a cat who's too hot doesn't curl up, they sprawl. The mat should be bigger than them once they're stretched out.
How to measure your cat
- Measure them stretched out full length, from nose to the base of the tail.
- Measure the spot where you want to put it too: bed, bench, corner of the floor.
- Compare both with the chart: the mat should cover your cat stretched out and fit where it's going.
Read the sizes in centimetres, not letters. If in doubt, size up.

Setting it up in their spot
-
Find where they go to cool down
The windowsill, their bed, the seat where they sprawl in the afternoon: that's where the mat belongs. On a smooth floor, put it on a rug instead.
-
Unfold it, that's all
Nothing to plug in, fill or chill: it's ready as soon as it's down.
-
Let them come to it
Don't put them on it by force. A cat who's too hot looks for somewhere cool on their own: let them discover it.
Frequently asked questions
What people ask us about the cooling mat
Is there gel inside?
No. No gel, no water, no electricity: the coolness comes from the fabric, which is cool to the touch. There's nothing to put in the fridge, and nothing that can leak if they scratch it.
Will it protect my cat from heatstroke?
No, and no mat can promise that. It offers a surface that's cool to the touch, nothing more. During a heatwave, plenty of fresh water, shade and a well-ventilated room are still what matters most; at the slightest sign they're unwell, call your vet.
Is it really silk?
No. “Ice silk” is the name the supplier gives the fabric; the stated material is nylon and cotton, with a breathable knit. No silk at all.
Which size should I choose?
Measure your cat stretched out full length, then compare: S 50 × 40 cm, M 60 × 50 cm, L 70 × 55 cm, XL 100 × 70 cm. The small sizes genuinely are small: if in doubt, size up.
How do I wash it?
The supplier says it's easy to clean, but gives no instructions: nothing on machine washing, nothing on temperature. We'd rather tell you than make some up.
Does it slide on tiles?
The supplier doesn't say whether the underside is non-slip. On a smooth floor, it's better to put it in their bed, on a rug or on a seat.
