One zip, two uses
The zip runs all the way round the cave, grey, almost tone on tone. Undone, it separates the dome from the basket: the bottom becomes an open bed with a raised rim, the top is set aside.
It's also how you take it apart for washing: by hand, hung up to dry in the open air, no bleach and no machine.

The supplier gives neither the inside dimensions, nor the diameter of the opening, nor the recommended cat size. For the large one, their text says 27 cm high and their dimensioned photo 28 cm. Compare the outside dimensions with the basket your cat already sleeps in.

Is it wool?
It's felt. The supplier doesn't give its composition, so we don't write “wool”: we couldn't prove it.
Which size for my cat?
The supplier gives no weight or recommended cat size. Compare the outside dimensions with the basket they already sleep in: 50 × 50 cm and 20 cm high for the small, 60 × 60 cm and 27 to 28 cm high for the large. For a big cat, take the large.
How many openings does it have?
The supplier's photos show one, on the side; none of them shows the back of the cave. Nor does the supplier give the diameter of the opening.
How do I wash it?
Undo the zip to separate the two halves, wash them by hand and hang them up to dry in the open air. No washing machine, no bleach: these are the supplier's instructions.
Can two cats fit in it together?
The supplier's photos sometimes show two on the same cave, but they give no data on it: we're not promising you that.
Is there a cushion inside?
Nothing suggests so: the cave comes on its own. You can slip in a throw they already know.
